The views from the cable car are amazing as you pass over forest, then glaciers and rock faces. The first car stops part way up the mountain and you can grab a bite to eat, hike a bit or get in the queue for the car to Aiguille du Midi.

Aug 7, 2013 · It was a glorious day to take the famous Aiguille du Midi cable car to the top of the world - well that is what it felt like when we got up there. It's the highest cable car in Europe and you climb more than 2700m. There are several viewing terraces at the top for breathtaking panoramic views.
